Annie Besant was born in London on October 1, 1847. Annie Besant was a famous women's rights activist, writer, and theosophist. She did not receive rights that many men possessed. Besant once said "Refusal to believe until proof is given is a rational position; denial of all outside of our own limited experience is absurd."
